# Sequence of End-Time Events *The full ordered end-times sequence.* One ordered sequence, assembled by letting Daniel, the Olivet Discourse, Paul’s letters, and Revelation interpret one another — rather than importing a timeline from outside the text. The whole order turns on a single principle: **the church passes through tribulation but is gathered before the wrath of God falls** (see [*Tribulation and Wrath*](https://shadowsandsubstance.org/tribulation-and-wrath/)). ## How the order is built Three load-bearing moves hold the sequence together. **First, tribulation and wrath are not the same** — the persecution the church endures (John 16:33) versus the judgment it is spared (1 Thessalonians 5:9) — so the gathering must fall *between* them. **Second, there is one coming, in phases**: the same *parousia* that gathers the church (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17) culminates in the visible return in judgment (Revelation 19); the framework does not split it into two separate comings. **Third, the bowls are where wrath actually lands** — “the seven bowls of the wrath of God” (Revelation 16:1) fall *after* the redeemed are seen safe, which is why the gathering (step 04) precedes the wrath (step 05).
